CFS Campaign

Campaign for Purdue

Private giving helps ensure that the College of Consumer and Family Sciences continues to rank among the best colleges of its kind in the nation. Private gifts allow the college to do a variety of things that it might not be able to do otherwise. Gifts can be used to fund programs, scholarships, fellowships, professorships, research, renovations, and new facilities.

Gifts of all shapes and sizes are welcome. Every gift, no matter how large or small, makes an impact on our college. You may even choose to designate your gift for a specific purpose or department.

Olivia Bennett Wood Scholarship
A scholarship for undergraduate students in the Department of Foods and Nutrition has been created in honor of Professor Olivia Bennett Wood, who is retiring after 34 years at Purdue. During her career, she received the Mary L. Matthews Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award an unprecedented four times. She also is included in Purdue's Book of Great Teachers and is a founding fellow in the Purdue University Teaching Academy. Visit the Olivia Bennett Wood Scholarship page for information on how you can make a gift.

Private Giving Gets Boost from Federal Tax Law Change
A change in federal tax law offers advantages to alumni and friends considering a gift to Purdue University from a retirement account. The Pension Protection Act of 2006 allows donors to draw money from their traditional or Roth individual retirement accounts without the withdrawal being taxed as income. Visit the Office of Planned Giving Web site for details.
