CFS to Host Study Abroad Fair & Forum
Students interested in studying abroad are encouraged to visit the CFS Study Abroad Fair on Wednesday, September 10, 4:00–8:00 p.m. in the HTM Cafe in Stone Hall. Information on more than 30 CFS study abroad programs will be available and former study abroad participants will be on hand to discuss their experiences. Pizza and drinks will be served. Prenatal Program Earns CFS Recognition
A Johnson County program that provides prenatal education and resources is the recipient of the college’s seventh annual Inspiring Families and Building Communities Award. The Ready or Not, Here I Come program serves pregnant teenage, uninsured, or underinsured women in their first trimester. Read more about this year’s winner.

Research Initiative to Benefit Indiana Citizens and Beyond
The Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) is a new initiative to efficiently transform life sciences discoveries into new medical treatments and products. The statewide collaboration will involve researchers from Purdue, IU, and includes many community partners. CFS will lead the Purdue effort. Read more about Indiana CTSI.

Gas Prices, Economy Impact Summer Travel
Families, especially those with children, still want to travel this summer despite rising oil and gasoline prices. However, they will likely take shorter trips, says Liping Cai, director of the Purdue Tourism and Hospitality Research Center.
